About Jenna

Jenna Summers

Born and raised in the Piney Woods of East Texas, Jenna Summers embarked on her missionary journey at the tender age of four. It all began when her father, swayed by her enthusiasm, purchased a Bible storybook she had spotted in a store window.

Jenna’s young heart was deeply moved as her father read to her the stories of God’s love and the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, leading her to seek salvation early in life. However, growing up was not without its challenges. As the daughter of an entrepreneur and a Golden Glove Boxing champion, Jenna often faced abuse and mistreatment. Despite these hardships, her decision to follow Jesus remained steadfast, and she frequently shared the wisdom God imparted to her with both her family and schoolmates.

Jenna’s life story takes readers on an extraordinary journey through multiple near-tragic events. From enduring violence in Africa, surviving a destructive house fire, to facing a horrific assault while pregnant—where she was brutally stabbed multiple times by a home intruder—Jenna’s resilience shines through. Her long road to recovery and her ultimate act of forgiveness toward her assailant brought healing not only to her body but to her spirit as well.

Throughout her travels to more than 60 countries, Jenna has built a successful ministry, developing schools for African street children, counseling trauma victims, translating Swahili, speaking to thousands, writing and singing worship songs, and inspiring countless individuals to turn their hearts to God’s grace. She often reflects on her experiences by saying, “I’ve had my foot in all four oceans!”

Now residing in Austin, Texas, Jenna works as a flight attendant for a major airline and has had the honor of serving the military by transporting troops to their overseas bases. Her three adult children live in Florida with their families, and Jenna is a proud grandmother to six grandchildren. Her daughter, Jennifer, and sons, Jonny and Josh, continue to bring joy to her life, along with their growing families.
